Povidone iodine has many other names,such as 1-ethenyl-homopolymer; compd. with iodine; Betadine; Efo-dine; Polyvinylpyrrolidone-iodine complex; PVP-I; Povidone-iodine; PVP-IPVP-Iodine; 1-ethenylpyrrolidin-2-one-iodine (1:1).
Povidone iodine‘physical and chemical properties is yellow-brown or red-brown powder, having slightly smell. It can dissolve in water and grain alcohol ,not in diethylethe or chloroform.
